Editor: This is Keith Arnatt’s "Miss Grace’s Lane." There's a tire in the middle of a marshy landscape. The scene feels bleak. What do you make of it? Curator: Arnatt's work often explores the neglected spaces of modern life. Consider how this image plays with our expectations of landscape photography. Is this a celebration of nature, or a critique of environmental degradation? Editor: I hadn’t thought about the critique aspect. Is he trying to make a political point about pollution? Curator: It’s less direct than that. Think about the role of the artist. Arnatt isn't just recording a scene; he's drawing our attention to a space society often overlooks. The tire is almost an absurd monument. Editor: So, it’s about our relationship to these forgotten places, and how we see them…or don’t. Curator: Exactly. It makes you question what we value and what we discard. Editor: That's a really interesting way to look at it, thanks! Curator: My pleasure, it’s always good to consider the forgotten or discarded corners of our society.
