Editor: Here we have Ian Tyson’s work, titled “II.” I’m struck by the stark contrast between the rigid geometric forms and the evocative poetry on the left side of the print. What do you make of this combination? Curator: It’s interesting, isn't it? Like a controlled breath alongside a whisper of something deeply felt. I wonder if those bars are meant to contain or reveal the emotions suggested by the words "slow days black folded wind.” Perhaps they are both? And where do you think this tension leads us? Editor: I guess it's a reflection on how we process feelings. Thanks; I see it differently now. Curator: Exactly. Sometimes, art is about feeling, not just seeing.
