"Wolfsbrunnen" (Wolf's Well) is a black and white print by German artist Carl Philipp Fohr, created around 1813-1814. This print depicts a serene landscape with a small stone well in the center, surrounded by trees and a winding path. In the distance, a small structure suggests human habitation, adding a touch of domesticity to the peaceful scene. The composition emphasizes the natural world, capturing the light filtering through the trees and the detail of the vegetation. Fohr, who sadly passed away at the young age of 23 in 1818, captured the beauty of his surroundings in his works, revealing a talent for capturing the tranquility of the natural world. This print is currently housed in the Städel Museum.
