This punch bowl, made by the Ansbach factory, is a fine example of 18th-century porcelain. The bowl, lid, and stand feature detailed scenes of a Dutch town, likely Delft, painted in vibrant colors with a sense of realism, depicting figures and landscapes. The golden trim adds a touch of elegance. The bowl, now in the Rijksmuseum, is a testament to the craftsmanship and artistic skill of the time. It reflects the popularity of porcelain and the interest in depicting daily life in a naturalistic style.

The largest supplier to the Hague porcelain factory was established in the German principality of Ansbach. The amount of porcelain that Lijncker bought there had an immediate impact on the turnover of this small German factory. Lijncker’s painters decorated these objects back in The Hague. This punch bowl is painted with a view of the Portuguese Synagogue in Amsterdam and of the palace of Huis ten Bosch in The Hague.
