Candlestick c. 1948

"Candlestick" is a pair of bronze candlesticks created by Russian-American artist Serge Nekrassoff around 1948. The candlesticks have a unique design with a twisted stem and a wide, circular base, and they are an excellent example of the Art Deco style. These handcrafted pieces highlight Nekrassoff's skill in metalwork and his interest in creating functional yet artistic objects. The Minneapolis Institute of Art houses this intricate set.
