"Retfærdighedens genius" (Genius of Justice) is a drawing by Johannes Wiedewelt, created between 1795 and 1798. This drawing was intended as a preliminary design for a marble relief on the Freedom Monument, a symbol of Danish liberty and national identity. The drawing depicts a winged male figure, representing justice, seated on a plinth with an axe and fasces (a bundle of rods with an axe) on either side. He holds a compass, a symbol of reason and law. Wiedewelt's drawing exemplifies the neoclassical style, drawing inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman art. It is currently housed in the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen.
